This was actually a tough one to cap. There is a convincing or not so convincing for either side.

My play: New York Jets (+3)

The Jets were a 1-pt fav and are now 3-pt dogs. Granted, Pennington is a huge loss, but I still think Vinny can make some plays. Plus, I look for the Jets to run the ball all night long.

The Jets are 11-5 on the road under Herman Edwards and are 18-4 ATS Last 22 as Road Dogs versus non-division teams. The Skins are 7-21 ATS their last 28 as a Home Fav before a road game the next week.

Much is being made of the Skins return game with the pilfering of Chad Morton from the Green Men. However, no one is talking about Santana Moss, who led the AFC with a 16.5 punt return average.

The Skins are also banged up on the OL with both their top Centers nursing injuries. That could lead to a bobbled snap by Ramsey tonight.
Plus, the Skins seem weak at DT. That could lead to a lot of Curtis Martin and Lamont Jordan up the middle.

Very few teams deal with adversity better than the Jets. They were 2-5 last year and ended up winning the AFC East. I think they will be fired up tonight.
